you can see me, you might touch me
It's possible to see representations of Justice through things like the Law, and it is possible to occasionally obtain, or 'touch', Justice.
you cannot feel, nor hold me
However, it's intangible, and there's no way to hold on to Justice forever throughout society.
but some people might embrace me
Look at this Orphanage. People strive for Justice.
I am soundless to the outside
For many people, Justice has no effect on their lives and can't even be detected.
but you always know I am there
There is always Justice in the background, especially for us.
even if you don't often know me
The world can be terribly unjust at times, and seeing Justice becomes rare.

watch_from_afar: Jwatch_from_afar on November 16th, 2007 10:36 pm (UTC)
Well...the first line you can see me, you might touch me can explain how people see how other people have faith...such as in a house of worship like a church or a temple.

you cannot feel, nor hold me is obvious because Faith is intangible.

The line but some people might embrace me explains how some people, by choice, choose to have the outward Faith of religion. However, I am soundless to the outside but you always know I am there means that everyone has Faith within themselves even though people can't "hear" other people's faith.

even if you don't know me just emphasizes that everyone has Faith within themselves, even if they choose not to "know it" by showing it.

That IS true...but only if you're trying to persuade someone else to see your side of the argument.

Some people feel that what they think is correct without a true foundation of solid evidence or argument to back up their beliefs. They don't have to convince anyone other than themselves that what they believe is correct.

People claim to "feel" what is correct. That is how morals work, correct?

...However, you have a point when it comes to Wammy's House. Anything we believe should have an explanation behind it.

It sounds like a person's true intentions. Or their real selves. You can know who you are inside, but you can embrace or ignore it. You can still feel it, even if you don't fully know yourself.

I assumed the human conscience. You can't see it, can't feel it, can't hold it, can't hear it either. But you can tap into it, people can embrace the ideas of it, and sometimes you are unaware of its existence, but it is there. I figured this or maybe the human soul/psyche. [-4]

Why?
Evidence Edge [E]: edgelabyrinthedge on November 17th, 2007 07:18 pm (UTC)
Well, one looks at their reflection in a mirror or other such surface. She can see it, could reach out and touch the surface of the mirror, but could never feel or hold the reflection on the other side. Other people, however, could walk up behind her and give her an embrace, and that other person's reflection would be shown doing so in the mirror. A reflection cannot directly speak to the person on the other side of the surface, though its mouth can move, and one can always know that there is some reflection of herself around, even though one might not always know where or have a chance to see it.

Explain?
Fallacious Foresight: storybookf_allacious on November 17th, 2007 10:19 pm (UTC)
Re: [screened || unhackable]
You of all people should know, Q. But I'll explain my reasoning regardless.

"you can see me, you might touch me"
The effects of insanity on a person's appearance, attitude, and behavior are easily observable. People may come into contact with it on a personal level, and by so doing, 'touch' it.

"you cannot feel, nor hold me"
Insanity is something intangible. You might feel insane, but that is the condition and not the noun. It's not quite the same thing. One can be overcome by a temporary fit of insanity and not be considered clinically insane, correct? Like after suffering from an emotional trauma. It could happen to anyone.

"but some people might embrace me"
People who have given themselves over to it certainly do. Also, people whose condition does not interfere with their daily life may consider it an asset.

"I am soundless to the outside
but you always know I am there
"
Because it takes so many different forms, there is no definite 'sound' to it. It's generally something invisible - secret. But it affects many people, from children to the elderly. It's always there.

"even if you don't often know me"
Insanity does not affect everyone. For the majority of those who it does affect, they overcome it in one way or another and forget about it. However, the memories and the feelings are always there. Hidden from the world.

Does that answer satisfy you?

Very true. Normalcy is a confine.

The true genius does not care about what society thinks of them. Even though the may be rejected during their lifetime, their achievements will live on after them.

Regular people are too unintelligent to understand them. So the genii are rejected and scorned.

But they are understood eventually.
